Thirty-eight monkeys are loose again on Monroe Street, hiding in business windows all October. Find any ten, write down their names and where you found them, and return your tracking form to Orange Tree Imports by October 31. Thirty-eight winners. Thirty-eight monkeys. Thirty-eight new homes.

The Tattler is a printed newspaper for one neighborhood in Madison, Wisconsin. People who do not live in that neighborhood have started asking for copies.
We are looking into involving the United States Postal Service.

More About the Tattler
The Monroe Street Tattler is an occasional, unofficial neighborhood paper about local food, neighborhood oddities, and the small details that make a place feel like itself.
The aim is simple: celebrate local places, notice small things, and help build the kind of neighborhood spirit that comes from shared curiosity, good humor, and paying attention to what's right in front of us.
If you enjoyed the Tattler and want to say thanks, you can chip in once or become a recurring supporter . Your support helps cover printing, trophies, and whatever unnecessary investigation comes next.
Reading and sharing the paper helps too. That's the whole point.
Host a stack. If you run a shop, a counter, a waiting room or a porch that gets foot traffic, the Tattler will happily leave a pile of papers with you.
Run an ad. Local businesses can buy space in the paper. Rates are modest, the readership is extremely local, and the Tattler's independence is, as always, largely theoretical.
